As Salamu Alaikum, I pray that the Believers are well and in high spirits Islamically. My intention was to begin a summer day camp for the Muslim children of the community, but with the feedback that I've gotten so far, there are at least two that have started or will begin soon (Masjid Al Fajr and Masjid AsSabiqun). If this is the case, I have no valid reason to begin another such camp. I would rather suggest to join skills and forces with those that already exist, maybe offer the Central Mosque as a better venue due to it's resources (computers and security) and to also use the grounds that Masjid Sabiqun has for recreational activities. If this is not the case, then please relay to me any information necessary for me to begin something beneficial as soon as possible. I have a gross limitation in mobility because I do not have an auto so I rely heavily on communication and contact by phone or email. It is my most ardent desire for the leaders of these masaajid to communicate in a way that benefits the entire community (Muslim and the community at large). if you would please call each other to meet and suggest on a regular basis it would be extremely beneficial at least in the case of the summer camps. in sha Allah.
