As-salam alaikom wa rahmatuallaah
 

مَنْ يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً حَسَنَةً يَكُنْ لَهُ نَصِيبٌ مِنْهَا وَمَنْ يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً سَيِّئَةً يَكُنْ لَهُ كِفْلٌ مِنْهَا وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُقِيتًا
 

“Whosoever intercedes for a good cause will have the reward thereof, and whosoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a share in its burden. And Allaah is Ever All-Able to do (and also an All-Witness to) everything”

While we wish we did not have to write this email to you, it is necessary to inform our Muslim brothers and sisters about the truth concerning the dealings of Shaykh Majdy Wardah.  The Messenger ordered the believers to protect their brothers and sisters from harm if they are able.  We have worked tirelessly for more than six months to convince Shaykh Majdy Wardah to stop and repent. Since he refused, we, as his former students and close friends, felt it was our duty before Allaah to inform you of the truth.
 

From falsifying and exaggerating his credentials to taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from innocent, pious Muslims, Shaykh Majdy Wardah has left a path of destruction on four continents.  As a means of protecting and informing the beloved followers of Muhammad (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam), the brothers created a website containing documented evidence of Majdy Wardah's actions.  The address is:

As members and leaders of your respective communities, Allaah has placed upon you a trust to objectively look at the facts and make your own determination concerning Majdy Wardah.  Allaah orders those in authority to not let their hearts be swayed by nice words, tearful testimonies (as in Surah Yusuf), or a heart warming khutbah, even by someone as charismatic as Majdy Wardah.  Instead, Allaah commands that we follow the truth and the evidence.  Once the heart is convinced, it is incumbent that you warn others to prevent them from becoming victims.
